Jaguar Concours d’Elegance
August 19 - 20, 2022
JAGM‘s most prestigious event, the JCNA-sanctioned Jaguar Concours d’Elegance, will be held at one of its more interesting venues: the Somerset Inn and Golf Course, next to the world-famous Somerset Mall. And we have reverted to holding our car show during the Woodward Dream Cruise, the largest collector car and enthusiast event in the world. Join us and show your pride in the marque whether you have a classic, or a brand-new E, F or I-Pace. There will be formal judged events in both Championship and Driven JCNA classes. Prefer not to be judged? No problem! Come and join in the display class, where everyone can admire your car without the work!
Trailer parking will be available in a segregated parking lot west of Somerset Inn. A cocktail reception will take place on Friday evening and out-of-town guests are encouraged to reserve accommodations at the Somerset Inn at special rates for JAGM.
Both a restaurant and hospitality tent will be available during the Concours on Saturday for respite from the sunny weather. In addition, there are over 180 shops and restaurants at Somerset Mall, less than 200 yards from the Concours field. These venues will offer you a break from the weather and will also provide options to entertain your guests.
Lunch may also be purchased at the Crumpet’s Restaurant on the premises or any of the 30 other restaurants in the Somerset Mall next door.
There will be an informal early dinner on the patio in the courtyard of the Somerset Inn on Saturday evening, followed by the JCNA awards presentations.
This year’s JAGM Concours d’Elegance will be located about 10 miles north of Detroit, in the heart of Oakland County, and about midway along the route for the Woodward Dream Cruise.
The Somerset Golf Course, the Somerset Inn, and the Somerset Mall are all at the southeast intersection of Big Beaver Road and Coolidge Highway in Troy, Michigan. The venue is off the US I-75 at Exit 69 (Big Beaver Road). Go west about two miles to the Somerset venues (if you go past Coolidge Highway, you have gone too far west).
The Host Hotel:
Our host hotel is the Somerset Inn, located at 2601 W. Big Beaver Road, Troy, MI 48084. The telephone number is (248) 643-7800. The hotel is ¼ mile east of the intersection of Big Beaver Road and Coolidge Highway and approximately two miles west of the intersection of US I-75 and Big Beaver Road (Exit 69).
A block of rooms is reserved for JAGM members. Room rates will be $119 per night for a Queen tower room or $149 for a King executive room. Full fare rates are $30 per night higher. Please call the hotel direct and mention ‘Jaguar Club’ when making your reservation. This is very important as they do monitor how many of our rooms we book. Please be careful of third-party websites that may not recognize the special rates. A full-service breakfast is offered at the Crumpet’s Restaurant each morning. And of course, there is always room service!
A reserved parking area, trailer parking, and overnight security will all be available. You will also have access to an indoor swimming pool and fitness center.
Join Us for Friday Night Hospitality:
An appetizer and cocktail reception will be held at the Somerset Inn, in a private dining room of the Crumpet’s Restaurant starting at 5:00 on Friday. Come and meet friends old and new. A light meal will be provided, and a full cash bar service will be available. Local JAGM members are encouraged to attend and fill the parking lot with Jaguars.
Jaguar Concours d’Elegance Schedule:
09:00 AM Event site opens for all participants.
11:00 AM Judges Luncheon Meeting.
Noon Rags down and judging begins. All participants in Championship and Driven classes must be in their cars.
03:00 PM Latest expected release of cars by the Chief Judge.
05:00 PM Informal Dinner and Awards on the patio in the courtyard of Somerset Inn (weather permitting, with a banquet room reserved as a backup plan).
