NUIAS International Car Show, Garage Visit & Drive

The Northwood University International Auto Show is organized and run by Northwood students, and is the largest outdoor new car show in North America.

In past years we’ve participated in their Sunday morning Classic Car show, and we’ll try that again this year. The Sunday show, adjacent to the main NUIAS show on the Northwood University campus, is now called Enthusiast Alley. On Sunday you can also view a great variety of exotic, performance, collector and classic cars.

We have put together a set of activities around the show:

• Friday, Sept. 18 
• • 5:00 PM for those who do not want to make an early morning drive to Midland, check into the Sleep Inn Midland, 2100 West Wackerly Dr., 989,837-1010.
  • 7:00 PM - Logan's Roadhouse, 7135 Eastman Ave., Midland

• Saturday, Sept.19 - 
• • 9:15 AM - meet at the Sleep Inn, 2100 West Wackerly
  • 9:30 AM - drive to Norbert & Barb Maecker's, 4500 Andre Ave., Midland to view their car collection and coffee and bagels, etc.
  • 11:15 AM - drive on to the Sanford EZ Market, 14 W Saginaw Rd., Sandford, a rest break
  • 11:30 AM - drive on to the Beaverton Tavern, 102 W Brown St., Beaverton
  • 1:00 PM - drive on to the Colonville General Store, 7880 E Colonville Rd, Clare
  • 2:00 PM - drive on to Jay's Sporting Goods, 8800 S Clare Ave., Clare
  • 3:00 PM - drive back to Midland
  • rest and dress for dinner
  • 7:00 PM - meet at the Villa D'alessandro, 801 E Wackerly St.

• Sunday , Sept. 20 – 
• • 9:30 AM - meet at Taco Bell, 2038 N. Saginaw Rd. (there are two Taco Bell locations on N. Saginaw so be careful) 
  • 10:00 AM - and we will drive to and park our cars in the Enthusiast Alley and walk through the very extensive new car show on the Northwood campus
  • Depart for home on your own schedule
