Vintage Car Racing at GingerMan Raceway - South Haven - non-hosted

The Vintage Sports Car Driver Association (VSCDA) is holding its Spring Brake race weekend at GingerMan Raceway, near South Haven, the weekend of May 6-7. We could meet at GingerMan for the racing event on Saturday morning at about 9 AM and anyone interested in driving their own car on the track can participate in what they call “Touring” the track during the mid-day break in the racing.  Besides registering and paying the fee you must also attend a mandatory driver meeting at 10 AM Saturday.

GingerMan is a road course, about 2 miles long, and the weekend event features multiple classes of cars, each running in a qualifying race than a 20-minute Sprint race. Practice sessions start at 8:30 AM Saturday and racing finishes around 5 PM (racing continues on Sunday as well, in case you want to stay to see more).

Admission to the track is $10/per person, and the cost to participate in the “Touring” run at noon on Saturday is $35. Please register with us for the event at JAGM.org/Events/Upcoming. For those who are interested in making it a multi-day event, block a room at the Holiday Inn - South Haven, 72095 Phoenix St., South Haven, 269-639-0303. Dinner will be at the Clementine Restaurant, 500 Phoenix St., South Haven. And depending on the number of interested members, we may coordinate a caravan on Friday afternoon to drive to the hotel.
