About the event

This event will take us back in time as we will visit four Maritime Museums in the Port Huron area, giving us a view of water travel history.  At each museum, each registered car will receive a card from a new card deck. At our final stop for lunch, you will receive the fifth card. to complete your poker hand. With 5 decks of cards, it is possible to have some unusual hands and several versions of them. To break ties, we will use the ranking of suits in official US poker rules. 1-Spades, 2-Hearts, 3-Diamonds, and 4-Clubs. The car with the best poker hand will be the winner. We are trying to negotiate one month’s use of a reconditioned (almost new) Jaguar or Land Rover vehicle. If a slightly used Jaguar car is not available from the dealer, we need a backup plan. The backup plan is that each car would be charged an entry fee of $20, so have the exact cash available with you. The entire entry fee goes to the best poker hand.

We will meet at the Fort Gratiot Light Station, 2802 Omar, Port Huron, MI. 48060 at 10 AM when it opens. From there we will drive to the other three Maritime Museums.

This rally is open to members of the Jaguar Affiliates Group of Michigan, the Windsor-Detroit MG Club and the GMC Corvette Club. The even has no driving time constraints or challenging directions. We are attempting to arrange docent-led tours at each museum. This Fall, the museums suspended their admission price and that should still be in effect in the Spring. Donations would be appreciated and are recommended.

We will go rain, cloudy or sunshine. Bring whatever car you are comfortable driving that day. The purpose of the Club is to bring people together for a bit of enjoyment and companionship. Feel free to invite your family, friends, and neighbors.
